Using the same principle, you can create a big enclosure with the walls lit and keep the inner section in darkness. Imagine a stadium, but in this case, the pitch/field will have no light, and the stands will have all the lighting. Once its night time, creepers and skeletons start spawning. Skeletons enemy can create problems while you attack creepers. The best plan is to wait until morning and then attack the creepers. There is a total of 3 mob types that give gunpowder as loot. They are
1) Creeper: Creepers can drop 0-2 pieces of gunpowder upon death. Looting can increase this by one per level, with a maximum of 5 gunpowder.

2) Ghasts: Ghasts can drop 0-2 pieces of gunpowder upon death. Looting can increase this by one per level, with a maximum of 5 gunpowder.

3) Witches: Witches can drop 0-6 pieces of gunpowder upon death. Looting can increase this by three per level, with a maximum of 15 gunpowder.
